Information we collect
Data stored on your device
The app stores a small amount of data locally on your device only so the game remembers you: your game progress (the stars you earned on each level, which levels are unlocked), your in-game coins, the outfits you own and wear, how many rewarded ads you watched today (for the daily limit), how many times the app has been opened, which one-time hints you have already seen, and your settings (sound, music, vibration, language). The coins and outfits are in-game only and cannot be bought with real money. This data is not sent to us. It is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
The app also keeps an on-device gameplay event log that helps us test and balance the game: events such as the app opened, a level started, completed or failed, the time taken, stars and coins earned, a hiding spot or slipper used, an outfit unlocked, and an ad offered, watched or shown, each with a timestamp. It holds at most the newest 2,000 events. The log contains no name, contact details or identifiers, never leaves your device, and is not sent to us or to anyone else; it is only shown on a hidden summary screen of the app. It is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Your device may include this local data in its own backup (Android Auto Backup to your Google account, or iCloud / device backup on iOS). Those backups are performed and controlled by your device and your Google or Apple account, not by us, and we have no access to them. You can turn them off in your device’s system settings.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location. The app contains no crash-reporting SDK of its own.
Level statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase, Android)
To find levels that are too hard, too easy or too slow, the Android app uses Google Analytics for Firebase. It sends only two kinds of game events: a level was started, and a level ended (completed or failed). Each event carries the level name and, when a level ends, whether it was completed, the stars earned, the time taken and, for a failure, which kind of watcher caught you and whether it was on the way to the door or back. Like any app using Firebase, the SDK also records basic usage data automatically: an app-instance identifier, first open and session start, app version, device model, operating system, language, country or region derived from the IP address, and the Google Play install referrer (how the app was found, for example a store search). The advertising ID is not collected for these statistics.
- Where it is off: in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and other regions where Google’s consent message applies, the app does not send these statistics at all. Where the consent check could not be completed (for example offline), nothing is sent either. Test versions with ads switched off never send them.
- We see these statistics only as aggregated reports in Google Analytics. We do not use them to identify you, and Google signals and data sharing for Google’s own purposes are turned off for this app.
- The event data is kept for 14 months and then deleted by Google.
Google Play Games Services (Android, optional)
On Android the app uses Google Play Games Services. Using it is optional: the game is fully playable without signing in, and sign-in is offered in the app’s Settings (“Cloud save”). If you are signed in to Google Play Games:
- Sign-in: your Play Games player ID and the display name / avatar you control in your Play Games profile are used to identify you.
- Saved games: your game progress is backed up to your own Google account (a Saved Games slot) so you can restore it on another device. It contains the best stars you earned on each level, the total coins you have earned, the coins paid for each outfit, and the outfits you own and wear. Your settings, hint flags and daily ad counters are not saved there and stay on your device.
This data is processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. We do not receive it, do not copy it to our own servers and do not use it for any other purpose.
Advertising data
The app shows ads (for example optional rewarded ads and occasional full-screen ads between rounds) served by Google AdMob. To serve, limit, measure and — if you allow it — personalize ads, and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK and Google’s ad partners may collect from your device:
- the device advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or, on iOS, the IDFA only if you allow tracking) and other device/app identifiers;
- IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- device information (model, operating system, language, screen) and app information;
- ad interaction data (ads shown, taps, rewarded ad completions) and diagnostic data such as crash information from the SDK.
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us; we only receive aggregated reports (for example impressions and earnings). The app’s AdMob account is linked to its Google Analytics for Firebase project so these reports can include user metrics such as active users and retention. Pre-release test versions of the app (for example a closed test on Google Play) may have ads switched off; those versions request no ads and show no consent message.
How we use information
Information is used only to run the game and its features as described above. Advertising data is used to show the ads that fund the game. Level statistics are used to balance the game’s difficulty. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose not described in this policy.
Third-party services
The app relies on the following third-party services. Each processes data under its own privacy policy and is responsible for protecting it at a level at least equal to this policy:
- Google Play Games Services (sign-in, saved games) — Google Privacy Policy
- Google Analytics for Firebase (level statistics, Android) — Google Privacy Policy; Privacy and Security in Firebase
- Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform (ads and consent) — Google Privacy Policy; How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services
- Google Play / Apple App Store (app distribution and updates) — Google Privacy Policy; Apple Privacy Policy
Advertising & consent
Google uses data collected through the app as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Google and its partners may use identifiers and similar technologies (the in-app equivalent of cookies) to serve and measure ads.
- Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland and other regions where required): before personalized ads are shown, the app displays a consent message from Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). If you do not consent, you may still see non-personalized or limited ads.
- Change your choice at any time: open the app’s Settings and tap Privacy options to show the consent form again and update or withdraw your consent. (This option is shown in regions where the consent message applies.)
- iOS — App Tracking Transparency: the app asks your permission before accessing the IDFA. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the IDFA is not shared. You can change this later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads or Settings → Google → Ads, depending on the device).
- Ad personalization: you can manage how Google personalizes ads in your Google account’s ad settings.
Children’s privacy
Pantsless Courier is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Ads in the app are limited to content suitable for the app’s age rating. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it. We hold no such data ourselves; advertising data is held by Google (see Google Privacy Policy).
Data security
Data the app keeps stays on your device. Data handled by the third-party services listed above is sent to them over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.
Data retention & deletion
- On-device data (including the gameplay event log) is kept until you uninstall the app or clear its data; doing so removes it permanently.
- We keep no personal data on our own servers, so there is no account to delete. Requests about data the app handles can be sent to contact@oldmansgames.com; we answer within one month.
- Google Play Games data (player profile, saved games) is stored in your Google account. You can hide or delete it in the Google Play Games settings or through your Google account, including deleting your Play Games data for this game.
- Level statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase) are kept for 14 months. They are linked only to a random app-instance identifier, not to your name or account; uninstalling the app or clearing its data resets that identifier. To ask us to delete them, email contact@oldmansgames.com.
- Advertising data is retained by Google according to the Google Privacy Policy. You can withdraw ad consent in the app (Settings → Privacy options) and reset your advertising ID at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (for example under the EU/UK GDPR). Residents of California and other US states have the right to know about, delete and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; we do not sell personal information. If personalized advertising counts as “sharing” where you live, you can opt out by withdrawing consent in Settings → Privacy options and by limiting ad tracking in your device settings. Because we hold no personal data on our own servers, most requests are best handled through the device settings and third-party controls described above; for anything else, email contact@oldmansgames.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date at the top shows the current version. Material changes (for example adding purchases, analytics or a new third-party service) are published here before the app version that introduces them is released.
